Newly acquainted pals, Lady Gaga and Kendrick Lamar, are taking their new friendship to the studio. Gaga has confirmed via Twitter that she will indeed be a part of Kendrick’s upcoming album, good kid, m.A.A.d city:

I am so excited to announce that a record I’ve been working on has now become a collaboration with @KendrickLamar for HIS ALBUM.
Personally, I think this is wonderful for music. I know all the hip hop heads might not feel the same way, but I think we need to look at the bigger perspective and that’s the final product. You have Lady Gaga, who is arguably one of (if not the biggest) names in the music industry today combined with a young poet/lyricist and one of hip hop’s own rising stars, Kendrick Lamar. The results are endless. I think it’s pretty fucking cool that Gaga reached out to Kendrick just to let him now she was a legitimate fan of his music. That’s love. Now who gives a shit about my opinion, what’s everyone else’s thoughts?
